Welcome to our Center for Waste Management and Renewable Energy!

At our center, we are committed to pioneering innovative solutions for a greener and more sustainable future. Here, we specialize in the transformative process of turning waste both liquid and solid, into a valuable and clean source of energy.

Overview

Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Science (SIMATS) is a prestigious institution committed to delivering outstanding higher education in science and technology, striving to meet global standards of excellence. To inspire researchers globally, the university has established several research activities dedicated to innovation in science and technology. The pressing issues of environmental pollution and waste management have led to the creation of the Centre for Waste Management and Renewable Energy. This pioneering initiative integrates waste management with sustainable energy, aiming to revolutionize waste treatment. We advocate for viewing waste not as an end product but as a valuable resource. Moreover, we employ advanced technology, including microalgae-based wastewater treatment, solid waste to valuables to minimize waste and maximize resource utilization. Our efforts align with the Government of India's objectives under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0, contributing to building waste-free and water-secure cities.
